Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold talks in Varanasi on October 12. The talks are scheduled to take place on the river GangaThe second round of talks has been decided after talks between the leaders of the Shanghai Co-operative Organization held in Kyrgyzstan last month on Wuhan Lake.

The two leaders have decided to enhance the bilateral relationship to mark the 70th anniversary of India-China friendship.

The issue of China’s military aggression in the Doklam area is also being discussed at the meeting.

In the previous meet India has signed an agreement to step up defence collaboration with Rwanda, and has extended US$200 million (S$273 million) in credit for the country’s infrastructure development during a visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
