Darbar Movie Review
Rajinikanth holds the whole movie on his shoulders. Action, father-daughter sentiment, romance with Nayanthara, comedy with Yogibabu in all the scenes. He comes as a deadly cop with his slick acting.
Nayanthara has done the job perfectly. Arriving as Rajini’s daughter, Nivetha Thomas is attracted by her natural performance. Yogi Babu, who co-starred with Rajinikanth for the first time, has just flipped and arrives at several places in the first half. He makes us laugh whenever he comes regardless of his performance.
The villain Sunil Shetty has revealed his experience. Introduced in the second half, however, is intimidating. Director AR Murugadoss has sculpted every scene for Rajini fans. Comedy, action in the first half, and sentiment in the second half work out.
The biggest strength of the film is Anirudh’s background music, which every BGM has left. Especially Rajni’s Entry Sema Mas. The cinematography of Santhosh Sivan is a treat to the eyes. Rajini is terrific stylish.
