State health Minister M. Subramaniam and several other ministers present at the Meeting.

Today’s meeting will also discuss the present relaxation of the lockdown in the State.

Though relaxations in eleven districts have been curtailed due to the severity of the Covid situation, by and large, the total number of Covid patients has decreased below 20 thousand fresh cases per day. Tasmac is likely to open in all districts except 11 highly infected districts.

Coimbatore is still having a maximum of more than 2000 cases each day. Chennai and Erode are also witnessing more than a thousand cases each day.

The recovery rate has been improving at a faster pace even as more than one lakh 80 thousand samples are being tested through RT PCR on a single day
