Indian Space Research Organization on Thursday successfully launch students made satellite. This satellite was a named as KALAMSAT-V2 in memory of honorable Late President and Scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. KALAMSART-V2 was the small communication student-made satellite. ISRO also launched as MICROSAT-R along with KALAMSAT in PSLV-C44 in orbit. The launch took place in Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.PSLV-44 is the 46th flight operated by ISRO.

The launch took place at 11:37 in a four-stage launch vehicle with alternating solid and liquid stages. KALAMSAT will be the first to use PS4 as the orbital platform.
