The Central Government has announced that the postal exames in Tamil Nadu will be canceled last Sunday.

The choice of filling a thousand jobs in the postal sector was held last Sunday. With only English and Hindi exams, Tamil Nadu candidates have to face a lot of difficulty. Various political parties have urged the central government to conduct postal selections in Tamil.

This issue was echoed in parliament today. In the Rajya Sabha, AIADMK and DMK MPs engaged in a series of early morning calls to conduct postal examinations in Tamil language.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned four times due to the presence of the Tamil Nadu MPs. Speaking when they met again in the afternoon, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad apologized for the delay. He assured that postal exams will be conducted in all regional languages including Tamil. On July 14, Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that the postal exama in English and Hindi alone would be canceled.
