Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolor flag at the Delhi Red Fort to mark the country’s 73rd Independence Day. The Prime Minister has announced that the Chief of Staff will be appointed to further strengthen the Army.
Prime Minister Modi went to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in Rajkot, Delhi this morning. The floral tribute paid homage to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
Following this, he was escorted to the Red Fort and honored by parade soldiers. Modi accepted it. Speaking at the event, Narendra Modi called on farmers to protect Thai soil. He advised farmers to reduce their use of chemical fertilizers by 30 to 40 per cent. He urged everyone to stop using plastic products.
New lead for Indian Army
Country’s security forces are our pride, Modi announced that he would appoint a leader of the armed forces to further strengthen the force. Modi also said he would be a top official in the defense sector. Chandrayaan 2 said that the spacecraft is heading towards the moon. He added that India is touching new peaks in space technology.
Modi met the school students who had gathered there before leaving the Red Fort and encouraged them.
