Billboard of Ram Mandir is displayed in Times Square

On the day PM Modi formally launched the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a digital billboard of the temple was shown in New York’s Times Square. However, some images circulating of the billboards are fake, according to multiple fact-checkers.

A digital billboard of Ram Mandir comes up in New York’s Times Square. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh earlier today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (August 5) to attend bhoomi pujan of Ram Mandir. The grand celebrations for the bhoomi pujan started at 8 am and PM Modi performed the Ayodhya Ram Mandir bhoomi pujan at the auspicious time of 12:40 pm. Huge CCTV screens were set up across the holy city in order to allow the people to watch the ceremony live.

Apart from PM Modi, the Bhoomi pujan ceremony was attended by Sri Ram Janambhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust chairman Nritya Gopal Das, RSS chief Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. Several important faces of the Ram Mandir movement such as Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, and Uma Bharti skipped the ceremony due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. They joined the celebrations via video conferencing.
