Article 370 of the Constitution grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir has been canceled. Jammu and Kashmir will be divided into Union Territory. Separated from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh is transformed into an unincorporated union territory.

It has been reported that these initiatives are being made for the abolition of sections 35A and 370 of the Constitution which gives special status to Kashmir and separation of Jammu and Kashmir into Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Amit Shah, who was engaged in consultation with lawyers yesterday, met Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad Amit Shah this morning. Later, a cabinet meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s residence. Major decisions have been taken on the issue of Kashmir.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Amit Shah brought a resolution on Kashmir. Accordingly, Article 370 of the Constitution which gives special status to Kashmir from 1954 is repealed.
Similarly, Ladakh agreed with the long-term wishes of the people and said the area would be separate from Jammu and Kashmir and become an unaffiliated union territory.
Amit Shah also declared that Jammu and Kashmir would become a legitimate union territory for security reasons. Before and after the announcement, there was a lot of controversy in the Rajya Sabha.
In the meantime, the President’s announcement of the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution has been published in the Central Gazette. Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir has been abolished. The 35A segment is coming to an end.
