The Fugitive Indian businessman Vijay Mallya will be e flying to Mumbai today a night from The United Kingdom in the extradition process. Along with the Central Bureau of Investigation and enforcement directorate officials he will be arriving at Mumbai International Airport today.
After reaching Mumbai Airport he will be underground several health checkups which are mandatory due to global coronavirus pandemic. Mallya will be spending some time under CBI office custody in Mumbai city will be taken to court in the morning if he arrived late at night. If Mallya arrives in the morning he will be directly produced to the court for further Procedures.
CBI Will Seek his custody later in court to make further investigation.
Several years ago United Spirits Chief Mallya the Businessman who is well known for his brand Kingfisher took around 9000 cross loans from 17 banks in India and ran away to The United Kingdom without paying any. He was being searched under the money laundering case by CBI and enforcement directorate.
In 2018 He lost his plea in UK Court. Court asked Indian Investigation Agency to share the details of the prison where Mallya will be kept after extradition. On request of the court, the agency shared cell video footage of Arthur Road jail which is located in Mumbai where Vijay Mallya planned to you kept after the extradition process.
On May 14 2020 Vijay Mallya lost his appeal in UK top court and Court ordered Vijay Mallya extradition approval. Due to the global pandemic, the judgment was sent to Vijay Mallya in the mail.
Arthur Road jail where Vijay Mallya going to stay had also seen some notorious names of the underworld and other terror outfits. Ajmal Kasab no name of 26/11 Mumbai attack was kept there in the high-security cell. Abu Salim, Chhota Rajan, Mustafa Dossa, Peter Mukerjea, and Vipul Ambani are spent there times in the prison.
