The Family Man 2 series begins with extreme controversy in India. Samantha Akkineni plays a important role in the series expecting to play a rebel role in the series. Her role ignites extreme controversy in South India.
Srikant Tiwari, played by Manoj Bajpayee, has taken a job that has nothing to do with the intelligence force, but he slowly finds a way back to his old roots. The Family Man always focused on Srikant’s home-life as well as work-life as the show’s premise relies on the fact that people with dangerous jobs can have an equally demanding home life. This season too, it looks Srikant’s marital life is on the rocks as he is trying to patch things up with his wife, played by Priyamani.

Season 1 sequences continues with second Episode of Season2
Major part of the scenes are shot in Chennai , London, Mumbai, Delhi and Sri Lanka. Plot mode in current period of time with several decades late story. Samantha Ruth Prabhu top South Actress gained too much of negative response even before the series released. Raji’s character is as layered as is convincing and Akkineni is on point from the start. The makers take their time in revealing her character and motives. And she manages to hold pace even with just expressions, body language and fewer dialogues.
Nobody is in a hurry and the result is the best character arc I’ve seen in a long time. She invokes fear with her mere presence and talks with her eyes. A silent and steady exterior to hide away the loud cries of suffering that keep her up at night. Akkineni does a fine job of portraying the duality.
The action sequences especially are orchestrated in a way that doesn’t shoo away chase-scene haters like me. The suspense building and execution is *chefs kiss* There’s another long single-shot sequence where some sympathizers attack a police station and its bloodbath but it’s treated in a way that sucks in the audience and doesn’t let them, idk, blink. It’s mastery of the craft.
A weekend ahead of nail-biting watch. Because Raj and DK have done it again! They’ve not only lived up to the expectations but are also packing punches with it and dispelling the second season curse. It is no news that Manoj Bajpayee is a stellar effortless actor but it is Samantha Akkineni who is a scene stealer, doing most of the talking with her expressions and body language. Also, the show treats Tamil pride with utmost care.
