The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress coalition candidates won more seats than the 81-seat Jharkhand assembly polls. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party leader and former first minister Hemant Soren won the highest number of votes in both the constituencies.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Party leader Hemant Soren has filed a letter of support for the 50 MLAs after meeting state governor Draupadi Murmu, demanding the right to rule in Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, Hemant Soren will be sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand today. 

In this backdrop, the Jharkhand state chief minister has been asked to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Chairman MK Stalin left for Ranchi by air this morning.  Dr. Balu and Kanimozhi also went to the festival.
