Coronavirus outbreak is massive all over the world. Covid-19 threat to India was very less until United States President Trump visit. After his visit Covid-19 Impact was very high. Visitor from Italy entered into India which increased the number of cases.
Tamilnadu was Covid-19 until last week. Man who was working in Oman recently visited his home town in Kanchipuram. He landed on Chennai airport on February 28th. The 45 year old man was suffered from cough and fever visited the local doctor last week. He didn’t get relief from the cough and his breathing problem increased drastically. He was referred to Chennai Stanley hospital which is located in Northern part of Chennai.
He was found coronavirus positive in Stanley hospital. Later this 45 year old man moved to Special Coronavirus Isolation ward which is located Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital Chennai. This incident was confirmed by Dr P Sampath, the state’s Deputy Director of Public Health.
National Institute of Virology, Pune confirmed that the sample sent to them had tested positive. Contact tracing has started. Eight members of his family and 19 others have been kept under observation at their homes.
Till now 60 samples have been taken and 57 tested negative for COVID-19.
In Tamil Nadu, till date, 1,13,106 passengers were screened at Chennai, Tiruchy, Madurai and Coimbatore airports. Among them 1,077 passengers are under home quarantine for 28 days and three are under hospital quarantine.
COVID19 positive for 45-year-old male who traveled from Oman. Due to the stringent screening process, we identified and isolated the patient for further treatment the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai.
