Tamilnadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami and deputy O Panneerselvam on behalf of the party ADMK announced Rs 25 lakh to the bereaved kin. Opposition party DMK also announced Rs 25 Lakhs to Jayaraj and Fennix family.
On Behalf of DMK, MP Kanimozhi handed over a cheque amount of 25 lakh rupees to Jayaraj and Fennix family on friday. Kanimozhi also demands Enquiry on National Human Rights Commission into the father son duo deaths.

Apart from parties Tamilnadu State Government announced Rs 10,00,000 to the family.
- June 19 – Jayaraj and Fennix were booked for not closing their mobile shop on time, thus violating lockdown norms.
- June 21 – They were remanded in judicial custody and lodged in the Kovilpatti jail.
- June 22 – P Jayaraj died
- June 23 – Fennix died morning in judicial custody.
Four policemen, including two sub-inspectors have been suspended and an inspector has been benched by the state government.
