More than 50 people are feared dead after an apartment building collapsed in Mumbai.
A 4-storey building on Tangalle Street, South of Mumbai, fell suddenly this afternoon.
Neighbors and firefighters reported to the fire department that the building was demolished with loud noises. The fire brigade and rescue team, who arrived there, cleared the wreckage and worked on the rescue.
It is feared that about 50 people may have been involved in the crash. Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the heavy rains in Mumbai may have caused the building to collapse due to lack of stability. Rescue is underway on a wartime basis.
